The club has a range of organised tennis options to suit all ages and levels of players, from beginners to senior inter club teams.

Junior Tennis

Every year in August we register a large number of children to participate in junior tennis coaching and interclub. Our coaches offer excellent programmes designed to get children to a high standard of tennis. We also run junior club events.

Coaching and teams

The club offers pre-interclub group coaching on Saturday mornings through summer. Children are put into small coaching groups with others of a similar age and ability and coached through the basic tennis skills required to achieve interclub level. Once these skills are mastered, teams are selected and entered in the Canterbury junior interclub summer competition. Private coaching is also available.

How parents can help

Our committee members are volunteers and we rely on parental input to run junior tennis. Parents can assist by managing teams, and all parents are expected to assist in transporting and supervising their child's team on a rostered basis. We value parent support in these areas, and expect them to supervise a fair game played by the on-court team.

Senior tennis

We have a number of tennis options available. For more information contact our tennis club captain.
